One of my favourite bloggers Gaby from Cap Classique is back to share one of her latest inspiration boards with you. What wonderful timing as I just booked a wedding on a lavender farm for July 7, 2012. I am excited to bring Vivian and Pietro’s vision to life! Did you know that lavender does not have a scent unless it is crushed?
From Gaby… This time, I’ve stepped up the sparkle, combining one of my favourite rustic elements, lavender, with glitzy gold. Metallics are super trendy at the moment, and they make an unexpected (but lovely!) combination with country elements – think hanging chandeliers in a barn, or placing gold cutlery on a burlap tablecloth. (In fact, my friend Erin over at Sparkle & Hay has a whole blog about the rustic chic look, which you will love!) I think my favourite detail (apart from those lavender bouquets, sigh!) is the little lavender sprigs in the champagne, and I’m also a huge fan of the goats cheese cake from Martha Stewart. So, so pretty!
If you like this board, check out the full gallery on Cap Classique, where you’ll find a new board every Monday. You can also find more lavender-themed boards here and here.
